About Looe
A busy fishing town with plenty of charm and history offering a variety of things to do and see:-
- The beautiful sandy beach is cleaned and groomed daily during the summer season.
- The harbour provides the ideal location to while away the hours watching the boats or try your hand at crabbing (incoming tides being the best time)
- Fishing boats land fresh fish on a daily basis.
- Take a trip round Looe Island in a glass bottomed boat or take a fishing trip with chances to see and even feed the seals.
- The many restaurants and pubs provide a wide choice of food and as you would expect serve some very good fish dishes.
- Traditional seaside shops and amusements abound.
- Excellent walking routes from Looe with the South West Coast path running through the town and the southern edges of Bodmin moor only 10 miles away.
- An annual music festival in September and Literary festival in November, and to finish off the year fancy dress on New Years Eve and a charity swim on New Years Day.
